Pinot Noir V Legend of Transylvania 2006, Recaş Cellars presents as we expected with a light color, intense cherry red but transparent glass shown in the middle. The nose is dominated by red fruit, which I remember strawberries, cherries, ripe plums can something. As it aired strawberry jam to give a slight touch of jam, but also feel and a hint of barrel. I do not know if the wine was barrel as percent was barrel or what, but something is there! Acidity is very high, with a light body (to be expected from a Pinot Noir), tannins in the end stronger than I had expected. The body is light, but not skinny. It's rather delicate and balanced. Maybe the first light red wine that I like. Fruit flavors in the mouth feel mentioned above, plus a little spice in the genus Piper.
