Winemaker's Notes
The 2008 shows an enticing nose of black cherry and cassis and hints of eucalpytus and cocoa. In the glass, this wine delivers much more than what one might expect for a Cab so modestly priced, revealing rich flavors of cherry, chocolate and plum enveloped by soft tannins.
A glass of this wine needs some beef to make it complete. Braised short ribs would be perfect. Or try the Cab with a tri-tip steak, smeared with your favorite dry rub and then grilled. An aged Gouda or mild blue would also be a nice combo.
