Bouchard Aine & Fils Beaujolais-Villages 2010

Bouchard Aine & Fils Beaujolais-Villages 750ML 2010
Sku: 50565

Area of production: Burgundy wines are named after a region, a commune, or a particular climat within a commune and depending on their origine. The Burgundy viticulture includes six regions : Chablis, situated 150km south-east of Paris (near to Auxerre) going further south and after Dijon (150km south-east of Chablis) we come to the Cote de Nuits, the Cote de Beaune, the Cote chalonnaise, Maconnaise and finally Beaujolais. The Beaujolais wine region is mainly situated in the Rhone region (with the exception of Saint-Amour which is situated in the Saone et Loire). This is a very important wine region as it represents half of the surface of the Bourgogne wine region. The caracter of these wines is very different to the other wines of Burgundy, except for the red Maconnais wines, north of Beaujolais, which use the same grape variety gamay. Classification: This is a regional appellation which means that it could come from any part of the Burgundy region producing red wines. But from the same specific border limit of their particular production. Production: This wine area covers 15,755 acres, there are 1,575 acres in the Saone et Loire region, the grapes are picked in 32 villages of the Beaujolais region. The Beaujolais-Villages Appellation is one of the oldest in Beaujolais.
