Wine Enthusiast 88 points (Dec 2006) One of my personal favorites among the giant collection of Freixenet cavas is the extra dry, which isn’t dry in the least. Just the opposite, it’s loaded with sweet apple and apricot aromas along with peach, melon and candied citrus flavors. Best of all, it maintains its poise while never falling toward cloying or sappy.  Wine Spectator 83 points (Dec 15 1999) Shows some nice smoky, creamy flavors, with ripe apple notes. An interesting mix, with a slightly sweet finish. Drink now. –KM  Wine Spectator 84 points (Dec 15 2002) Lively and relatively dry, with honey and apple flavors, on a moderately firm structure. Drink now. –BS Flavors of ginger, honey and orange peel are backed by a good vein of acidity in this refreshing, well-balanced bubbly. Drink now. 100,000 cases imported.
