| Wine maker notes |
| An exemplary terroir-driven wine, Las Cruces is a single-vinyard, limited-production blend produced from one of the most unique vineyard sites in Chile. Originally planted 90+ years ago, the Las Cruces vineyard retains many of the original plantings. This field blend is dominated by Malbec (60%) and a generous percentage of Carmenere (30%), as well as a small amount of other indigenous varietals that the winery has been able to specifically identify despite copious amounts of studies. The nose is complex, layered with notes of truffles and black cherries, backed by subtle aromas of mint and oak. It is full and rounded on the palate, with a luxurious mouthfeel. The acidity is well balanced making this a fresh and appealing wine. Pair with hearty meat and game dishes, particularly venison, to complement the intricacies.
