Wine Spectator 96 points (Apr 10 2013) A rich, sticky sweetie, tawny in character, offering a liquid mix of date, orange marmalade, tobacco and butterscotch notes that slowly give way to hints of spice and chalk. Drink now through 2035. From Hungary.—N.W.

Wine maker notes

The nose is very complex with layers of aromas of aszu berries, dried apricots, mushrooms, green tee, hazelnut, vanilla, and caramel. It is smooth on the palate with similar flavors carrying through the finish. The high sugar content is counterbalanced by a vibrant and lively acidity. Enjoy on its own or with any number of sweets. Also excellent with foie gras.
